CMAT 2020
is a golden opportunity for all the students who have been planning to join
middle-level management colleges in India. The exam will be conducted on 28
January 2020. National Testing Agency is going to conduct this exam. The exam
will be of 180 minutes carrying 25 questions from 4 sections i.e. Quantitative
Aptitude & DI, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability & General Awareness.
Each correct answer will fetch +4 marks while a wrong answer will be penalized with
-1 mark.
For
Quantitative Aptitude a candidate will be tested on Arithmetic, Number System,
Algebra, Geometry & Modern Maths, though the highest weightage will be given
to Percentage, “Profit, loss & Discount”, “Times, Speed & Distance”.
Mensuration can be deciding factor. Along this there are 2 to 3 sets expected
in Data Interpretation.
Logical
Reasoning will be of moderate level consisting of Sitting Arrangement, Blood
Relation, Series, Analogy, Directions, Assertion & Conclusion. Along with these
topics, there can be few questions from non-verbal reasoning as well.
General Knowledge
will cover most of the questions from last one-year current affairs, like
polity, games, books & authors, Government projects, Fiscal & Monetary
policy. Though it is expected that few questions will be asked from Static GK
as well as History, Geography & Law based questions.
English sections
will have maximum questions from Reading Comprehension. RC questions are usually
direct but 2 to 3 questions can be inference based like CAT 2019 exam. There will be few direct questions
like Antonym & Synonym; Grammar-based questions & odd one out expected
on 28 January 2020.
As the
duration of the exam is for 3 hours so students are expected to get at least
60% of the questions correct from all the sections, though colleges under this examination are not looking into section-wise cut-offs it is expected from
a student to get at least 40% score in each section so that it would be easy for
a student to justify his score during the Personal Interview.
We are soon
going to publish B-School ranking with the detailed analysis of the colleges
under CMAT 2020.
All the
very best for your preparation. Keep tracking our blogs for the latest updates.
