CMAT 2020

CMAT 2020 is a golden opportunity for all the students who have been planning to join middle-level management colleges in India. The exam will be conducted on 28 January 2020. National Testing Agency is going to conduct this exam. The exam will be of 180 minutes carrying 25 questions from 4 sections i.e. Quantitative Aptitude & DI, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability & General Awareness. Each correct answer will fetch +4 marks while a wrong answer will be penalized with -1 mark.
For Quantitative Aptitude a candidate will be tested on Arithmetic, Number System, Algebra, Geometry & Modern Maths, though the highest weightage will be given to Percentage, “Profit, loss &  Discount”, “Times, Speed & Distance”. Mensuration can be deciding factor. Along this there are 2 to 3 sets expected in Data Interpretation.
Logical Reasoning will be of moderate level consisting of Sitting Arrangement, Blood Relation, Series, Analogy, Directions, Assertion & Conclusion. Along with these topics, there can be few questions from non-verbal reasoning as well.
General Knowledge will cover most of the questions from last one-year current affairs, like polity, games, books & authors, Government projects, Fiscal & Monetary policy. Though it is expected that few questions will be asked from Static GK as well as History, Geography & Law based questions.
English sections will have maximum questions from Reading Comprehension. RC questions are usually direct but 2 to 3 questions can be inference based like CAT 2019 exam. There will be few direct questions like Antonym & Synonym; Grammar-based questions & odd one out expected on 28 January 2020.
As the duration of the exam is for 3 hours so students are expected to get at least 60% of the questions correct from all the sections, though colleges under this examination are not looking into section-wise cut-offs it is expected from a student to get at least 40% score in each section so that it would be easy for a student to justify his score during the Personal Interview.

We are soon going to publish B-School ranking with the detailed analysis of the colleges under CMAT 2020.
All the very best for your preparation. Keep tracking our blogs for the latest updates.

*A journey without path*

Seem ambiguous, but not unfamiliar, if we talk to those who have great dreams of careers, but loses the sight to get all dots aligned.
Creating those dots visible and making one to walk on that is what a mentor/counselor has been striving.
A path that leads to a destination of life is incomplete without a journey covered from one dot to another.
So what is specific in the journey is to reach at the destination by minimizing the number of dots to walk over the course of time to complete the dream.
Here come the interest and focus, which not only helps to minimize the dots and also makes it visible far from the sight.
So the journey without a path, it is futile if dots are not visible.. So work out on your interest and be focused to make it visible.. So that you reach at your destination finally...
In an era when thousands of destinations are available to reach, my interest is a matter of my choice of life, I dreamt of.
You should believe in your instincts, that never lie, read it and get help to know about your destination and work hard to find the mentor/ counselor who can help you to find the minimum dots on the path to make you complete the journey and reach at the destination.
But the irony is No destination is final.. it's an endless journey from one dot to another, from one path to another, and from one destination to another.. Mentors are always needed... Better if you get one... INSIDE in you.

India ; a mid of National Register of Citizens and Citizenship Amendment Act

India ; a mid of National Register of Citizens and Citizenship Amendment Act

"I am a citizen, not of Athens or Greece, but of the world", wonderful line quoted by Socrates, which shows his intellectual thoughts. Citizenship is not just the status of being a citizen of a concerned state but a feeling that says '' I belong to this country and that paves the way of nationalism''. The citizenship of India is enshrined from Article 4 to Article 11, in part II of the Constitution of India, these articles distinguish an Indian citizen from the rest of people living in India. As per Citizenship provisions Constitution of India did not codify permanent laws for citizenship and put this onus on parliament. Using the powers of article 10 and 11, the the parliament enacted Citizenship Act 1955 which has been amended from time to time. This act mentions five ways in which a person may be Indian citizen viz. by birth, by descent, by registration, by naturalization and by incorporation a new territory by the Government of India. The Citizenship Act envisages three situations under which a citizen of India may lose his Indian nationality namely a) Renunciation b) Termination and c) Deprivation. Why citizenship’s so Important? Because every fundamental right, Fundamental duty, Legal right, government job, government education institution, even the government subsidies given to the below poverty line people, everything depends on the status of Citizenship. Hence Citizenship plays a very important role in making of a standard life of a person living in any country.
Nowadays, The question of citizenship has been echoing in India since National Register Citizens-(NRC) prepared in state of Assam and recently passed the Citizenship Amendment Act 2019 which to provide Indian citizenship to the illegal migrants, who are from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan and are Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians. If talk about, National Register of Citizens is a record of names of all genuine citizens of India in the state of Assam. It was first prepared after the 1951 Census of India. The purpose of NRC is to identify illegal immigrants who migrated to India on or after 24 March 1971 and to verify the ‘D-voters’ who have applied for inclusion of their names in the NRC. Let me put these two on the basis of Merit and Demerit.

Merit:

·       a) India has already become a resource-scarce country, unable to deliver the basic necessities to the people of India, and a large number of additional immigrants will further worsen the conditions. The efficient NRC will help us in identifying the illegal immigrants and some steps can be taken for their deportation.
·       b) Curbing their voting rights can be beneficial to us. As it will avoid the illegal immigrants from swinging elections in favour of those who promise them legitimacy.

·    c)Will send a strong message that illegal immigrants are not welcome here.

Demerit:

·       a) Increased feeling of alienation in the Muslims and animosity in orthodox Hindus, leading to communal unrest which is already on the rise since the BJP came to power.

·        b) The government is ready to exempt illegal Hindu immigrants, leading to unequal treatment.

·        c) If this continues India will soon lose its credibility on the international forum while voicing against China and Pakistan as both the countries follow the same ideology of exploitation and polarization of minorities and India will soon join their league.

·        With the faltering mechanism, these already poor and helpless genuine Indians will lose their right to work, to healthcare and education, and housing.
The world is already viewing this step as against the Muslims and government’s Citizenship Amendment Bill guarantees citizenship to illegal migrants from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh who are Hindu, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain or Parsi but excludes those who are Muslim, will further reinforce their beliefs. Thus, making India a very different country than what it and ideologies were.

Rapists Convicted Under POCSO Shouldn't Be Allowed Mercy Plea: President

16 December 2012, when the humanity was shaken and the safety of women issue came into spot light though it was not the first brutal rape that took place but it was the first time India as a nation came together asking  Justice for Nirbhaya, one of India's brave girls  who fought for her life till her last breath. Nirbhaya case brought one more important thing in the sight and that needed to be reformed that Juvenile Justice Act because one of the rapists was a Juvenile and later act got attention in the public domain. In 2015, Juvenile Justice Amendment act passed in the Parliament and became a Law which allows minors in the age group of 16-18 to be tried as adults if they commit heinous crimes, The crime will be examined by the Juvenile Justice Board to ascertain if the crime was committed as a 'child ' or 'adult'. There should be strict actions in rape case so that people think a couple of times before doing something like this heinous crime irrespective of their ages. It has been almost Seven years since the incident took place and, the entire country had come out on roads.

Recently on 6th of December, 2019 President Ram Nath Kovind at an event in Rajasthan's Sirohi said "Women safety is a serious issue and Rape convicts under POCSO Act should not have right to file mercy petition. Parliament should review mercy petition". The President's comments come at a time when the Home Ministry, in agreement with the Delhi government's recommendation to reject a mercy plea of one of the accused in the Nirbhaya's Gang-rape and murder case, forwarded to him.
Just to give you all a reality check, mentioning some findings of  the National Crime Records Bureau's (NCRB) the Annual Crime Report 2017 in India. According to the NCRB report 2017, a total of 3,59,849 cases were reported against women in 2017. Out of this data a  total of 32,559 rapes were reported in 2017 in India. Madhya Pradesh has recorded the highest number of rape cases at 5,562 in 2017. Out of 32,559 reported cases, in 93.1 percent cases the accused were known to the victims, still constitutes a large percentage of all the cases reported.
NCRB also released report on Minor rape in India ,according to report,  17,557 the total number of child rape recorded in the country in 2017, Prevention of Children from Sexual Offenses against minors, was not invoked in more than 10,000 cases. this is a serious lacuna in our system, which needs to be taken cognizance by the state police chiefs. Invoking POCSO Act in FIRs of all cases of child rape is a legal requirement and any deviation from that must not be allowed, the provisions of the act should be enforced legally.

It is very saddening that Rapes are taking place, women are being considered an object even after the Nirbhaya Case. A couple of days back, the Unnao rape victim succumbed to her injuries in Safdarjung Hospital and Nirbhaya's mother said that the system and her seven-year struggle have been defeated today. Still I have faith in the Judiciary system that Nirbhaya will SMILE in the Heaven when she will not find “ANOTHER NIRBHAYA in FUTURE”.

Latest disruptive technology that is changing the world we live in

Latest disruptive technology that is changing the world we live in

MACHINES! MACHINES!MACHINES!
Everyone knows technological innovation is reshaping the world faster than anything else. So, what do you think when you hear the word "Technology"? Do you think of smartphones or Artifical Intelligence? Now let's have a look at what these disruptive technologies are and whether it will have a positive or negative impact on our lives. Disruptive Technologies advances that will transform life, business and the global economy that could drive truly massive economic transformation and disruptions in the coming years. These technologies also offer guidelines to help leaders from business and other leading institutions.
There are many technologies that will emerge in the coming decades, among them, there are some technologies that are profoundly influencing our lives like Big Data -Everyday we produce a lot of data such as emails, social media posts, Online articles, videos. Big Data facilitates the ability to process a large volume of information with more and more standard computing means. This data will be valuable to various sectors such as tourism, commerce, advertising etc
Artificial Intelligence-We all have heard a lot about AI. You know the first machine to show its AI capabilities was Deep Blue, an IBM supercomputer that beat world chess champion Garry Kasparov in 1977. It is a technique used to implement computer programs with a high-level process such as perceptual learning, critical thinking as we humans do.AI  has proved useful in various sectors e-health, industrial operations, commerce, online marketing
Self-Driving Cars-It is simply like dreams come true in unexpected ways. This autonomous car(driverless)will greatly reduce the number of accidents, making it to one's liking journey.
Virtual Reality-Samsung, Google, HTC, Sony are creating a user immersion in a3D virtual world in which he/she can move or interact.
Now a question arises "Is Innovation always a good thing"?Not all innovations are disruptive, even if they hindsight look to have changed the world. It has just brought radical changes in business strategy by creating new markets and disrupting the existing ones.

NAXALISM- “the greatest internal security threat to our country”..

Recently in May 2019, Fifteen security personnel were killed in an IED blast in the Naxal-affected Gadchiroli district Maharashtra. The Naxals triggered an improvised explosive device (IED) to blow up the police vehicle of the C-60 commandos, an anti-Naxal unit, was patrolling the area. This incident pulled me a decade back,  when then Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh termed naxalism “the greatest internal security threat to our country” and said the government was taking adequate steps “to deal with the menace.”

The term Naxalism derives its name from the village Naxalbari of West Bengal. It is originated as rebellion against local landlords  who bashed a peasant over a land dispute. This rebellion was aimed with an objective of rightful redistribution of the land to working peasants which was initiated in 1967. This event encouraged many tribals and other poor people to join the movement and to start attacking local landlords. Gradually, Mao Zedong ,a chinese communist revolutionary , better known as the Father of the People's Republic of china , provided ideological leadership for the Naxalbari movement It is a doctrine to capture State power through a combination of armed insurgency, mass mobilization and strategic alliances . While Naxalism originated in India and Maoism in China , there is a common thread between the two is “armed resistance”  and “violence”. A large number of urban elites were also attracted to the ideology and formed the basis of Naxalites’ ideology. The early 1970s saw the spread of Naxalism to almost every state in India, and further in the 1970s, the movement was fragmented into disputing factions. By 1980, it was estimated that around 30 Naxalite groups were active, with a combined membership of 30,000.

In July 1971, Indira Gandhi launched a colossal combined army and police counter-insurgency operation, termed "Operation Steeplechase’’, against the Naxalites.  They had gained the support at ground level and had succeeded in connecting with tribal peasants between 1990s and 2000s . In 2009, the government of India announced a new nationwide initiative, "Integrated Action Plan" (IAP) for broad, co-ordinated operations aimed at dealing with the Naxalite problem in all affected states this plan included funding for grass-roots economic development projects in naxalite-affected areas. Despite Integrated Action Plan, there have been a number of massive attacks since 2010 across India up to 23rd November 2019 Latehar , Jharkhand incident.

Apart from above incidents, one of the prime concerns, would be the cause of Naxals in India , if you go through the entire history of Naxalism, you would get some prominent causes namely the Forest conservation Act, 1980 which deprives tribals, who depend on forest produce for their living , from even cutting a bark, which eventually paved the way for Massive displacement of tribal population due to development projects , mining projects and other reasons. Such people, who do not have any source of living, are being enlisted into naxalism and being given arms and money by the Naxal Minds.

Another thing is how the government of India taking up this issue and implementing development projects in the Naxal affected areas. We have infrastructural problems, as some villages are not yet connected properly with any communication network and rest development projects are being vandalized by the naxals. Despite of many attacks, government should be providing education and basic amenities into these affected areas, is the best thing to implement because “education is a weapon which can change the World.” Operation Green Hunt was started in 2010 aimed at deploying security forces in the naxal-affected areas and even started “Relief and Rehabilitation Policy” for bringing naxalites into mainstream. Most importantly one of the flagship schemes in the stream of development is “Aspiration Districts Programme” which also covers naxal affected district across India , launched in 2018, aims at rapidly transforming the districts that have shown relatively lesser progress in key social areas.
Further State government can come forward Local police knows the language and topography of a region can fight naxalism better than the armed forces for example the state of Andhra Police ‘Greyhounds’ special forces to deal with naxalism in the state. State government needs to understand that naxalism is their problem, can be tackled effectively India has made some success in containing naxalism but the root causes have not been addressed yet. There is a gradual decline in the numbers of Naxal affected states but there is a need to think twice '' about the output we get from our efforts. Many of us, are not aware of Naxalism in India though Naxals being the greatest internal security threat to our country.

IBPS is conducting the clerical exam for BANKING today and also be conducting tomorrow. A lot of candidates must be striving for the vacancies. Keeping yourself updated with the news is the best thing you can do during this technological and dynamic world. Let's have a look at a few burning issues. Continue talking about the banking sector, no customer was able to transact any banking work either using their laptop or mobile phones from HDFC bank. This proved our dependence on technology currently. But the catch here is that what RBI has to do with this. Is it under the ambit of RBI to intervene in such issues? There are two aspects to this. One is, as the HDFC being the largest private sector bank with 50 million customers, out of which majority are using online banking facilities, the failure just not affected the HDFC but our banking sector as a whole. Second is that if the system would have been down for an hour or two wouldn't have been such a big issue but the breakdown for complete two days may be taken as a great fiasco for banking in India as a whole. I also see it as a loss for many customers who like to repay their loan faced a penalty for two days , may they be willing to pay. The question arises is will the bank repay or compensate for the same.

I won't miss telling you about the Movie released lately. On comparing PATI PATNI AUR WO and PANIPAT, I would suggest you go for the former if you are in the mood for some comedy and for the latter if you are an action lover. Both are doing great at the box office and going out with friends or family this weekend won't be a bad idea.

Schedule from 7 December onwards

Finally "DABANG" is back. Salute to Shri VC Sajjanar.

The morning Whatsapp message about 4 culprits of Hyderabad rape case being killed in an encounter  has brought the thought of fake news ,but when got astonished to see the news clipping of a news channel. Here is the new Home Minister who is the biggest hope for the Indians now after the PM. There are a very few politicians in the society at which people look up to. I have not seen Sardar Patel but with due respect to him, I am sure he could have done similar thing what the present Government has done. The fear should be inculcated in the mind of the people who have “Chalta hai Attitude”. We couldn’t bring Priyanka Reddy back, but I am sure by giving quick justice to her has put some solace to  her spirit.
But I am sure there are few human rights activists who would jump onto the TV channels and would curse the police action. To hell with them, because Justice delayed is Justice denied. The family members must be happy with the decision of the Hyderabad Police though the losses can’t be covered but trust me each family in India feels it to be their loss and today each family has regained the faith of government, though to feel secure there is lot to be done on government part. We hail the decision of the police and the government. Our society has reached for the low that even after this heinous crime ,people were trying to search the video of Hyderabad rape on pornographic website, the government should take drastic steps to change the climate of fear. The country should be run by the law.
The hero of today’s encounter is Shri VC Sajjanar. I don’t know how our polical system will react to this, but today’s justice has brought in some confidence in the police. Hope to have many more police officers like you sir.

Citizenship Amendment Bill 2019

No man wants to leave his country, but the prevailing situation in Pakistan, Afghanistan & Bangladesh has forced non-Muslims to migrate illegally to India. The people who have been opposing the Government for Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2019 are the one who has not seen the situation of these migrants in India. They have been facing many cases in different courts and tribunals. Moreover, few days back it was in the news that even after the order of top court the children of these illegal migrants couldn’t get admissions in the government or any school in Delhi.
Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2019 will be the ray of hope for all non-Muslims whose family members have been killed or their women raped just because of them not being Muslims in these three Muslim dominating countries.  I would agree with Mufti Mehbooba’s daughter’s  statement that there is no nation for Muslim as all countries in the world have been welcoming Hindus, Sikhs, Jains & Buddhist to their nation. Hindus, Sikhs, Jains & Buddhist have been targeted even in the US. As per the Atlas world,  there are 45 countries which are Muslim countries  but not even one nation for Hindus, Sikhs, Jains.
In 1947, injustice has been matted to all Non-Muslims by our forefathers who get swayed by the discussion of few political leaders to divide the country on religious lines. Though no leaders has accepted or even accept today that 1947 partitions was only on the religious lines but ignoring this truth for last 72 years can’t become truth. The way population of non-Muslims especially Hindus decreased in our three neighboring countries decreased would make these countries 100% Muslims. The migration of Muslims from Bangladesh is itself has been strategically planned to divide India further on religious lines. It has been stupidity of our leaders to ignore this problem just for the vote bank politics, which has divided this country in 1947.
Citizenship (Amendment) Bill will provide relief to not only Hindus but also other non-Muslim communities to live a respectable life in their own country. Muslims who have choosen this nation as their home in 1947 would not be affected by this law. The social fabric of this nation can’t be disturbed by the rumours who have been advocating this bill against Muslims. With the population of 1.3 Billion it is difficult for India to provide quality life to it’s citizens with the limited resources left in this country. Taking burden of Muslims who have illegally migrated to India in crores will further worsen our resources allocation. Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2019 will help people who came to India till December 2014 from these 3 countries to get jobs, purchase land and will finally have some say in electoral processes.
The way Non-Muslim girls haven been kidnapped and forced to change religion in Pakistan will further force migration of Non-Muslims to India. I hope the government will raise these issues in international forums to force Pakistan and Bangladesh to take care of their minority in their nations. So, that further migration of non-Muslims can be stopped in India and they can live their life respectably in these countries.
